Avelo Airlines announced this week that it will soon begin service out of Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), including nonstop service to New Haven, Connecticut via Tweed New Haven Airport. Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
With the addition of Sarasota-Bradenton, Avelo will now serve six destinations in Florida. Sarasota joins Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Palm Beach, and Tampa
In more area airport news, Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) began a new nonstop route to Minnesota via Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP).
These exciting new flight options are in addition to the numerous options out of either Tampa International Airport or St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport located less than an hour from the Sarasota area.
