Sarasota Regional Real Estate Updates

There are so many outstanding opportunities to learn and grow as a Coldwell Banker agent.  One of which are the Coldwell Banker regional meetings.  These meetings give us an opportunity to chat with other agents and get important facts and updates on the Florida and Sarasota markets.  Our most recent meeting was filled with lots of great information and statistics.

2019 predictions:

• Sources vary slightly, but most indicate the Federal Reserve will raise rate once in 2019.
• Experts are anticipating 10% more listings this year versus last year, and more associates to enter into the real estate business.
• Manatee and Sarasota Counties are expected to gain 24,046 new neighbors in 2019, with more foreign nationals entering.
• Mortgage rates are expected to stay steady  at 4.5%-5.2%, depending on various factors
• Largest percentage of people to come to Florida in 2019 are going to be from CA {high taxes} and TX {huge defense and tech industry}.

Florida statistics:

• If FL was a country, we would be the 17th largest economy in the world.
• 1 out of every 122 people in Florida have a Florida Real Estate License.
• 1 out of 20 FL households are considered “millionaires.”
• 919 people per DAY growth expected.
• Unemployment rate is the lowest in 12 years.
• Despite a historically strong red tide this year, Florida hosted 95.8 million visitors this year which produced over 112 billion dollars of Florida Commerce.
