Southgate is an area of over 2000 homes. Residents love living in Southgate for their low HOA fees and convenience to downtown Sarasota, Siesta Key Beach, restaurants and more!
When driving around the Southgate area, you will notice the majority of homes are original, originally constructed in the 1950’s, but many have been updated or completely remodeled.
You would be remiss when touring Southgate if you didn’t mention the Pinecraft area of Sarasota. Pinecraft is home to small population of Amish and Mennonite families, and this close knit community brings to many wonderful things to Sarasota. We take a quick stop at Der Dutchman and Yoder’s Fresh Market. Take my word for it, the bakery at Der Dutchman is a MUST DO when visiting Sarasota! And Yoder’s home cooked meals are like no other!
