After nearly 17 months of closed doors, the Van Wezel announced their lineup for the 2021-2022 season, with enhanced safety protocols and the use of fogging sanitization technology that has been proven to inactivate the COVID-19.
The season will officially kick off on October. 29 with the Jimmy Buffett musical Escape to Margaritaville. Next up will be Nov. 3 family friendly Disney Princess—The Concert, on November 3 – a Sarasota premiere that brings together actresses who have portrayed Disney princess characters such as like Belle, Jasmine and Anna.
The Broadway series will feature Come from Away in November, Anastasia in March of 2022, An Officer and a Gentleman in April 2022 and Jersey Boys in January.
Other upcoming big attractions include singer-songwriter Bruce Hornsby on November, 11; Mannheim Steamroller Christmas on November 20; country singer Martina McBride with The Joy of Christmas 2021, on December. 4 and more.
